Cox's Bazar (Feeling Blue?)


The beach resort town of Cox’s Bazar lies approximately a hundred and fifty kilometers outside in Chittagong  division of Bangladesh and its name was derived from an army officer by the name of Cox, who passed away in 1798. One of the most popular attractions in Bangladesh is Cox's Bazar which is rich in history, culture and natural beauty, and is a very popular tourist destination. Once a sleepy little fishing town, its industry has been boosted over the years with the influx of thousands of tourist. Everyone who travels to Bangladesh always ensures that they visit Cox’s Bazar, as it is the longest natural stretch of beach in the world, at a length of 120 kilometers. This sea beach faces the amazing waves of grand Bay of Bengal. KHAGRACHORI


Khagrachari is a district in Bangladesh. It is under Chittagong Division. Locally it is known as “Chengmi” and also known as Phalang Htaung or the Mong Circle. It is a hilly district in Bangladesh. It is 112 km from Chittagong. It is also a part of Chittagong Hill Tracts It is one of the most magnificent places for tourist with hills, forest, waterfalls and aborigine. Three rivers are flow on the through the district. These are Chengi, Kasalong and Maini and Chengi. Main attraction is the tribal culture, green tree, hilly road and people also. Private and government rest house, hotels, motels and resorts are available. Majority people are Marma and Chakma. Local main transportation is Chader Gari. Only plain land in Khagrachari. Green paddy trees and Mountains behind this plain land gives a very eye catching natural beauty. As because of this kind of scenery local people call this place New Zealand. Now-a-days it is also a tourist attraction and it’s about 10-15 minutes far from main town. One may use auto rickshaw for their transportation.
