Cox's Bazar (Feeling Blue?)

The beach resort town of Cox’s Bazar lies approximately a hundred and fifty kilometers outside in Chittagong  division of Bangladesh and its name was derived from an army officer by the name of Cox, who passed away in 1798. One of the most popular attractions in Bangladesh is Cox's Bazar which is rich in history, culture and natural beauty, and is a very popular tourist destination. Once a sleepy little fishing town, its industry has been boosted over the years with the influx of thousands of tourist. Everyone who travels to Bangladesh always ensures that they visit Cox’s Bazar, as it is the longest natural stretch of beach in the world, at a length of 120 kilometers. This sea beach faces the amazing waves of grand Bay of Bengal. Miles of golden sands, shark free waters, surfing waves, rare conch shells, breathtaking  towering cliffs, mouthwatering seafood restaurants, ancient Buddhist temples and pagodas, tribes and mouth-watering sea-food made Cox’s Bazar the tourist capital of Bangladesh. There’s a plenty of things to do in Cox’s Bazar. This magical holiday destination sees approximately eighty to a hundred and twenty thousand visitors in the peak season times, and in the off-peak seasons an estimated fifteen to twenty five thousand tourists. This is more than you can expect from a traditional sea beach.
